There are many reasons to host with a managed WordPress hosting company like ours, automatic updates, backups, security, WordPress experts.. etc etc.
One of the things we haven’t advertised or done a poor job of advertising, is the inclusion of premium plugins, like Gravity Forms. Since we host a few thousand WordPress websites, we’ve seen all sorts of businesses, and use cases of WordPress. They all have one thing in common:
The ability for their visitors to contact them. Every single website has this feature.. we wanted to provide all our customers with an enhanced experience for this feature. We looked at the standard plugins on wordpress.org, we looked at Formstack, Wufoo, and other services. Nothing compared to the flexibility and ease of use with Gravity Forms. Sure, there are things that are missing for some of our more esoteric/advanced cases, but there is no silver bullet.
Our decision tree at ZippyKid is pretty simple, if it’s good for the customer, do it. This is why we bundle GravityForms with all of our sites. It makes the life of the customer easier, it gives us a way to have support on behalf of our customers, and every one is happy in the end.
Some use cases we’ve seen:
- Our sign up forms
- The contact us form on this site
- A customized survey for one of the largest job search engines on the planet.
All of these systems couldn’t rely on any other form plugin, because of their security needs, and the need for tight integration within the rest of the site itself.
