The Pressable team recently gathered in San Antonio, TX for Texas’ biggest WordPress event: WordCamp San Antonio. From the talks, to the urban venue, to the connections made around camp, the event was an unqualified success. Here are some of our favorite moments from WordCamp San Antonio 2017.
Presentations are the focus of any WordCamp, and San Antonio didn’t disappoint. The talks were awesome, including some by familiar faces. Our own Wolf Bishop led a workshop on iThemes Security, Zach Charo presented Worst/Best Practices for WordPress, and Rob Villarreal stepped in talk about communicating with customers.
We enjoyed hearing the story of Clay Mosley’s Little Rock, AR-based digital agency, and much more. With no shortage of interesting topics and workshops, it seemed that extending the event to 2 days for 2017 was a great choice.
Our team spent most of the weekend at the Pressable booth, where we talked with attendees and learned about how they use WordPress. We also gave away tons of swag – a record amount for our team in fact.
Two of our team members, Jeff Mulholland and Mike Price, were organizers of the event. They spent the weekend wrangling speakers, organizing events, and helping at the Camper Help Cabin (happiness lounge).
WordCamp San Antonio’s after party was the perfect cap to Day 1. We relaxed and met several people we hadn’t met before. We learned that attendees came to San Antonio from around the country. There were even a few people interested in restarting Houston’s WordCamp in attendance, an event which we’ll surely attend.
There was plenty to love about WordCamp San Antonio 2017. We’ll be back next year and, in the near future, you’ll be able to meet us at WordCamp Philly, WordCamp Seattle, and WordCamp US. See you there!
