If you are [assigning a domain to your Pressable account](https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/assigning-domain-pressable/) and want to know how to update your Namecheap DNS records accordingly, please choose **one** of the options below to do this:

## Domain Setup Wizard

Note: Pressable has a [Domain Setup Wizard](https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/domain-setup-wizard/) option, which makes connecting your Namecheap domain to your Pressable site a breeze! [Learn more here](https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/domain-setup-wizard/).

## Pointing Namecheap Nameservers to Pressable

*Note: that if you already have email hosting for your domain, we recommend getting in touch with us prior to changing the name servers to minimize/prevent any email downtime.*

## Pointing Namecheap A Records to Pressable

Log into your Namecheap account and press the “Manage” button to the right of the domain.

![Managing your domains in your Namecheap account.](https://i0.wp.com/pressable.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/namecheap1-scaled.jpg?ssl=1)

Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab.

You will want to make sure that you have two A Records for @, each pointing to one of the Pressable IP addresses. Then you will need a CNAME Record created for www, that is pointing to your domain name.

When finished your records will look similar to the following:

## (Optional) Re-provision SSL Certificate

If you added your domain on the Pressable control panel before pointing it via DNS, you may need to re-provision the SSL certificate. You can do this from the `Domains` tab in your control panel by clicking `Actions ▼ → Retry SSL`.

## Yoast Indexables

If Yoast ([Yoast SEO](https://href.li/?https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/) or [Yoast SEO Premium](https://href.li/?https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/) plugins) is used on a website and a domain is added or changed (new site, cloned site, etc) without taking steps afterward, it can result in the staging domain or previous domain showing in search results. Please [follow the information here](https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/yoast-indexables/) to ensure the proper domain is reflected within search results.
