The WordPress community is getting together again in person, and we can’t wait to see everyone at WordCamp US 2022.

What is WordCamp US 2022?
WordCamp US runs Sept. 9-11 at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego.
The first two days include more than 30 speaker presentations and half a dozen workshops on development, design, marketing, and the WordPress community.
The last day is Contributor Day, allowing participants to give back and help improve WordPress. If you’ve never been to WordCamp, check out this post for details on what to expect on Contributor Day.
People attend WordCamp to develop new skills, learn more about recent and upcoming WordPress releases and features, and network with other WordPress users.
Unfortunately, if you don’t have a ticket already, you likely won’t be able to attend in person. Tickets are sold out and will only become available if people cancel.
However, WordCamp offers a free, high-definition live stream of all sessions – no tickets required. Given this year’s schedule, you won’t want to miss them!

Learning from the Speakers
This year’s speaker lineup is impressive. No matter your background, you’ll find a speaker and session you can learn from. The diversity of topics and the shared learning experiences are a big draw for WordCamp attendees, including Wayne McWilliams, Pressable Senior Front-End Engineer.
“WordCamp is a place where true enthusiasts of WordPress can get together, learn from each other, and build solid friendships,” Wayne said.
Connecting with the WordPress Community
Lasting friendships and finally seeing people in person again are a big part of why Jessica Frick, Pressable’s Director of Operations, is stoked for WordCamp 2022.
“It’s been so long since we were all together in St. Louis. Although not everyone can make this one in person, it’s going to be amazing to spend time with those who can,” she said. “I can hardly wait to connect with everyone and hear about all the new things that are happening.”
Giving Back
The WordPress community is so generous. The community is one of the things we love the most about WordPress. So much of what makes the entire WordPress ecosystem function is the passion and work of contributors.
“We’re going to be doing something very cool at the event, and we’d love for you to take part in it! I’ll give you a hint: SUPPORT MATTERS,” Jessica said.
