It’s time for the WordPress community to gather again, and we’re excited to see everyone at WordCamp US 2023. Pressable is proud to again sponsor the conference, and we want to share everything you might want to know about how to connect with our team in National Harbor, Maryland!
What is WordCamp US 2023?
WordCamp US (WCUS) is the premier WordPress event in the Western Hemisphere. Following the Community Summit, the event will include a Contributor Day and two days of informative sessions from some of the best presenters in the WordPress community. A $50 ticket provides three full days for attendees to gain insight from our speakers, network with others, and contribute to the open-source WordPress project.
The event runs August 24-26 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The first day is Contributor Day, allowing participants to give back and help improve WordPress. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for new contributors and 9:30 a.m. for returning contributors. The next two days are filled with dozens of presentations, workshops, and featured speakers. The event is capped at 7:30 p.m. by a social gathering at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
What We’re Excited About
We’re always excited to reconnect with our WordPress friends at WordCamp and to meet new people. Last year’s event was the first time we gathered in person for WordCamp since 2019 and we can’t wait to do it all again. Here’s what we’re looking forward to most:
Reuniting the Community
There’s no doubt that last year’s event was special, as hundreds of community members reunited in person for the first time in years. We can’t wait to build on that experience this year, including at birds-of-a-feather workshops to help like-minded creators connect with their peers.
The Speakers
This year’s speaker lineup is beyond impressive. With diverse backgrounds and expertise, there will be something for everyone from the featured speakers.
Whatever your goals are, you’ll find a session with something to offer.
Connecting with Like-Minded Creators
The WordPress community is incredibly generous. We are reminded again how much we love the community every time we experience the excitement of coming together at WordCamp. So much of what makes the entire WordPress ecosystem function is the passion and work of contributors. The lasting friendships made are one of the biggest reasons we can’t wait to come back this year.
