About GSheetConnector
GSheetConnector, built by WesternDeal Web Solutions, is a freemium suite of WordPress plugins that connects WordPress sites to Google Sheets. Form submissions, WooCommerce orders, leads, posts, users and other site data land in a spreadsheet automatically, so businesses can automate their workflows without paying for a third-party automation platform or a custom integration.
The plugins work with the major contact form builders, including Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms and Fluent Forms, along with Elementor, Divi and Avada forms, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and WordPress core content. The free versions have more than 60,000 active installations on WordPress.org, and thousands of Pro customers use GSheetConnector, from freelancers and agencies to ecommerce stores, schools and nonprofits. Founder and Lead Product Developer Abdullah Kaludi has more than 17 years of experience in WordPress development.
The Challenge: A Website That Doubles as Product Infrastructure
GSheetConnector’s website runs the business. Along with marketing pages and documentation, it processes Pro purchases, manages licenses, delivers plugin downloads and updates, and hosts customer support. It also receives a steady stream of API requests from plugins installed on customer sites, which check in to validate licenses and look for new versions.
The previous host worked well in the early days. As GSheetConnector grew, that API traffic added to regular visitor traffic. When the site got busy, or when a large number of customer sites checked licenses and updates at the same time, the site slowed down noticeably.
There was never one big outage. The slowdowns kept coming back, and each one meant delayed updates or license checks that didn’t go through for customers around the world. The team was spending time chasing performance issues instead of building product, and they wanted to move before the slowdowns became a real problem for customers.
Why Pressable
Abdullah met the Pressable team at WordCamp Asia 2026 in Mumbai, and their conversations went deep into hosting and what a WordPress plugin business needs to run. With 17 years of WordPress development behind him, he could tell the team understood the platform, and that gave him confidence in the people he would be working with.
Pressable being part of Automattic also mattered, since GSheetConnector’s entire business is built on WordPress. Built-in caching and a global CDN addressed the load problem, and staging environments gave the team a place to test changes before they reach customers.
“I met the Pressable team at WordCamp Asia, and we talked in depth about what a WordPress plugin business actually needs. Those conversations gave me confidence in the team behind it.”

The Migration
Continuity was the biggest concern. Because the site handles purchases, license activations and downloads around the clock, any interruption would reach customers immediately. The move went smoother than the team expected, and GSheetConnector kept serving customers the entire time.
The support engineers were the pleasant surprise. They knew WordPress well, answered quickly and communicated clearly, and the team never felt stuck waiting on an answer. Abdullah says it felt like working with people who understand how a WordPress business runs.
The Results
- • License checks and updates without delays. Traffic spikes and high volumes of license validations and update requests no longer slow the site, so customers get licenses activated and plugins updated on time.
- • A faster WordPress admin. Day-to-day work in the dashboard is noticeably more responsive.
- • No interruption during the move. Customers could buy, activate licenses and download updates throughout the migration.
- • More time for product work. Hours that used to go to performance issues now go to new features and customer support.
Advice for WordPress Businesses
Abdullah’s advice for other businesses that run on WordPress is to treat hosting as part of the product experience. Customers expect the site to load fast, downloads to work, checkout to be secure and support to be reachable, and the host affects all of it.
He recommends choosing a host for the people as much as the platform. Talk to the team, ask how they handle migrations and support, and check that they understand how a WordPress business runs day to day.
