Our origin story
In 2010, a group of friends in San Antonio founded a small tech company (originally called ZippyKid and later Pressable) with one goal in mind: to empower freelancers, developers, web designers, and business owners to build and launch amazing WordPress sites instead of dealing with servers and hosting issues.
They accomplished this by providing managed WordPress hosting with fast, reliable servers and friendly, knowledgeable support.
Joining Automattic
A few years later, Pressable was acquired by Automattic—the company behind WordPress.com, WordPress VIP, Jetpack, WooCommerce, and more.
