The Challenge: Scale Without Staff
Jason Garvey has run Bay Area Web Solutions since 2005, handling web design, WordPress hosting and maintenance, and local marketing for clients across the San Mateo Peninsula. With over 120 sites under management and a lean operation, every hour of manual work is an hour not spent on client strategy or new business.
As AI tools matured, Jason saw an opportunity to change how he worked. He began using Claude for SEO analysis and content production, connecting it to SE Ranking via MCP to pull keyword data and surface clear recommendations. The workflow worked well for strategy. But Claude had no way to reach into the sites themselves – no access to server logs, no ability to make changes, no safety net for anything risky.
The Solution: An AI Workflow with Pressable as the Infrastructure Layer
When Jason mentioned to Claude that he hosted with Pressable, Claude surfaced that Pressable had an MCP server available. He connected it, and the nature of what was possible changed.
With the Pressable MCP in place, Claude could move from interpreting data to acting on it. The integration became the foundation underneath the rest of Jason’s AI workflow.
“Pressable MCP is mostly the access layer, the diagnosis layer, the safety net – backups and activity logs. That’s where it fits into everything.”
Jason Garvey, Bay Area Web Solutions
Key wins with Pressable MCP:
• End-to-End Blog Publishing: Jason wanted to stop routing content through contractors for posting. Claude now publishes blog posts directly to his Pressable-hosted sites, handling image alt tags, formatting, and correct structure without manual intervention. Pressable’s backup and activity logs are what make Jason comfortable letting Claude operate autonomously – the safety net is the reason the workflow runs on Pressable in a way it wouldn’t on another host.
• Server Log Analysis: NGINX access logs and PHP error logs are data Jason had access to but rarely had time to use. With Pressable MCP, Claude retrieves those logs and translates them into specific, prioritized recommendations. When his own site’s mobile LCP score flagged in Lighthouse, Claude diagnosed the issue from the logs and produced a clear brief to execute against – the same workflow Jason runs for clients, applied to his own site first.
• Contractor QA: Jason uses Pressable MCP to verify that work assigned to contractors actually landed. When a contractor repeatedly missed converting a background image to WebP, Claude caught it by checking the file via the hosting layer after each submission and flagging the discrepancy.
• Third-Party SEO Audits: For clients who have hired outside SEO contractors, Jason can now ask Claude to review the site’s access logs and report on what actually changed – giving him an independent audit without manual digging.
• Database-Level Changes: When Jason needed to make a database-level username change on his own site – a change that requires some workarounds – Claude accessed the database through Pressable via WP-CLI and made the change directly.
• Cache Management: Claude uses Pressable MCP to check edge cache status and clear Pressable’s edge cache after changes, closing a loop across multiple tools that previously required manual steps.
The Business Impact: A Ranking Turnaround and a New Way of Working
The most measurable outcome came from an SEO project Jason ran for Los Altos Christian Schools, a private school in Los Altos. The school had poor visibility for its primary search term and wasn’t appearing in the local map pack at all.
Using Claude with SE Ranking MCP for keyword and content strategy, and Pressable MCP for site access and performance diagnostics, Jason ran a focused SEO campaign that moved the school from outside the top 10 to third place organically. The school also reached third place in the local map pack – a result that hadn’t been achievable before.
“I wouldn’t have been able to do that without Claude, and the Pressable MCP definitely made it easier for Claude to communicate and make changes.”
– Jason Garvey, Bay Area Web Solutions
Beyond that result, Jason describes a broader shift in what he can take on. Content publishing, performance auditing, contractor QA, and server diagnostics all run faster – and with fewer handoffs – than before. The safety net that Pressable’s backup and activity log tools provide means he is comfortable letting Claude operate with more autonomy than he would trust on any other platform.
Looking Ahead
Jason is expanding how he uses the Pressable MCP as part of his workflow, including using it to scan across his full portfolio when vulnerabilities surface and to pull cross-site diagnostics that would have taken hours manually.stment in that direction gives them the confidence to move forward.
