Enable WordPress Maintenance Mode

Pressable allows you to quickly and easily enable a Maintenance Mode option for your website through the MyPressable.com Control Panel with just one click.

When Maintenance Mode is enabled, website visitors will see the following when visiting the website:

Maintenance Mode activates a protective layer on the website. When activated, the Pressable Maintenance Mode plugin is installed and set in motion. This ensures that while the site owner can access their WP Admin, visitors see the Maintenance Mode screen, preventing them from navigating the site during essential updates or modifications.

Logged-in WP Admin users can view the front end of the website as normal, without the Maintenance Mode message.

Deactivating this mode removes the plugin and refreshes all caches, restoring the website to its operational state.

Enabling & Disabling

The Maintenance Mode option can be found in the My.Pressable.com Dashboard for single sites under the Advanced tab (Sites > Select Site > Advanced > Maintenance Mode):

Collaborator Access

Only Collaborators with the Disable Site permission will have access to this functionality.

API Usage

Enabling and disabling Maintenance Mode can also be done via the Pressable API.
