Automatic WordPress Core Updates: Testing & Notifications

All sites hosted at Pressable are provided the most up-to-date WordPress version for features and security, and these core files are symlinked for protection. When WordPress.org releases a new update, all sites on the Pressable platform are updated automatically within 24 hours.

Read on to learn about how to test impending updates on your sites beforehand, and how to receive notifications about these updates.

Testing Beta Versions

When a new WordPress beta version is released to the public, an option is added to the My.Pressable.com Dashboard, allowing you to toggle your site to that version:

By taking advantage of this feature, you can test a clone of your site on the new beta version to ensure your plugins and theme will be compatible.

More about that feature and how to use it can be seen here: https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/testing-wordpress-beta-versions/
