Pressable uses DNS Made Easy for internal DNS management. All domains added to our platform must be mapped through our DNSME account. If a domain is not mapped properly, you will receive a Domain not found error when trying to view your site.
One reason a domain would fail to provision is if it existed in a different account at DNSME at some point in the past. If that is the case, it will need to be transferred to our account in order to be properly mapped. This is true even if the domain name is no longer managed by DNSME. If it existed in their system at any previous time, it will need to be transferred.
There are two ways this can be achieved:
- If you still have access to the other DNSME account, management of the domain can be transferred to us directly. The account you would be transferring to is associated with the username pressable. Once the transfer is initiated, let our team know so that we can accept it.
- We can contact DNSME via a support ticket, asking them to transfer the domain to our account. They will require domain ownership verification by having the domain owner make a modification to the DNS records.
