Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for MyPressable

Category: Tutorials | Last modified: May 21, 2021

To secure your Pressable account, an additional security layer can be enabled for MyPressable Control Panel by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). With 2FA enabled, you need a code from your mobile phone to authenticate the login.

Before proceeding, please install an authentication application on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Those applications are available for both Android and iOS.

Step One

Login to your account via MyPressable Control Panel. Once logged in, click on your profile image in the upper-right corner to go to your “Profile”:

Step Two

On the profile page, you will see the “Setup Two Factor” section.
Follow the instructions under that section to configure two-factor authentication by downloading Google Authenticator for Android and iOS.
Once installed and setup, proceed to scan the QR code that you see on the page.

Step Three

The authentication application should then add a profile for the barcode you scanned with a code. Enter this code into the field provided for the Confirmation Code. Then click on the “Confirm” button.

A pop-up will appear confirming that 2FA has been enabled for your account.

Step Four

Each time you login to the MyPressable Control Panel, you will now be asked for a confirmation code, as seen in the screenshot below. You will need to open the authentication application and enter the code to confirm your login attempt.
