Pressable uses DNS Made Easy for internal DNS management. All domains added to our platform must be mapped through our DNSME account. If a domain is not mapped properly, you will receive a Domain not found error when trying to view your site.
A domain would also fail to provision if it existed in a DNSME account at some point in the past (even if it no longer does now).
If DNSME is currently used for the domain, or has been used in the past, there are two options:
Option 1: Bypass DNSME Settings
You can contact our Support Team for assistance bypassing the DNSME settings. Please let us know the following:
My domain is/was hosted with DNS Made Easy (DNSME) and I need the DNSME settings for the zone overriden so I can use it here at Pressable.
That will allow our Support Team to make adjustments on our end so the domain can be used properly.
Option 2: Transfer Domain to Pressable’s DNSME Account
If the option to bypass DNSME settings above doesn’t work for your needs, the domain will need to be transferred to Pressable’s DNSME account in order to be properly mapped. This is true even if the domain name is no longer managed by DNSME. If it existed in their system at any previous time, it would need to be transferred.
There are two ways this can be achieved:
- If you still have access to the other DNSME account, management of the domain can be transferred to us directly. The account you would be transferring to is associated with the username pressable. Once the transfer is initiated, let our team know so that we can accept it.
- We can contact DNSME via a support ticket, asking them to transfer the domain to our account. They will require domain ownership verification by having the domain owner make a modification to the DNS records.
Our Support Team is standing by to help if you need assistance with this!
