How to Flush the Cache in Popular WordPress Page Builders

Last modified: September 11, 2025

The Pressable Migration plugin does an exhaustive search-replace in the database, updating the site URL. Pressable also runs a search-replace on the database when a site’s primary domain is added or changed. But cached assets, like CSS and JavaScript files, may still point to the old URL.

Flushing your page builder’s cache forces all cached assets to be regenerated with the correct URL and up-to-date info.

You may also need to purge Pressable’s edge cache (which provides a CDN + page caching) and/or flush the object cache. This step should be done after the page builder cache is flushed and assets have been regenerated.

Elementor

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Elementor > Tools in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the General tab.
  4. Look for the option to Regenerate CSS & Data and click the button.
    • This will clear any cached CSS files and regenerate them with the current site settings.
  5. Clear your browser cache or use an incognito window to test your site.

Divi

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Divi > Theme Options in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the Builder tab at the top of the page.
  4. Select the Advanced tab within the Builder settings.
  5. Click the Clear button next to “Static CSS File Generation.”
    • This removes all cached static CSS files and forces Divi to regenerate them.
  6. Clear your browser cache or use an incognito window to test your site.

Additional Step: If you’re using Divi’s performance settings, make sure to disable any additional caching temporarily while troubleshooting.
